So much more than just a way to light up a room, the lighting of our interior and exterior spaces should never be an afterthought, but planned at the outset of any building or renovating work. This will also serve to eliminate any messy and potentially expensive add-ons in the future.

As well as its primary function being to illuminate a space in order to allow the carrying-out of tasks, lighting can also be ambient and used to create a mood or atmosphere. Effective lighting design effectively means putting light where it is both wanted and needed and reducing or eliminating light elsewhere.
