Judith’s career in building design began 40 years ago. Her projects have varied, including high rise commercial, apartments and unit developments, residential designs, additions and renovations. Her commercial experience includes aged care facilities, medical centres and sporting complexes, just to name a few.
She has been involved in designing projects that use everything from traditional double brick, brick veneer, reverse brick veneer, framed (both timber and steel), rammed earth, straw bale and SIPS panels – all whilst focusing on contemporary requirements, including energy factors.
The past six years have seen her undertake a variety of projects in both the city and surrounding suburbs, designing unit developments, apartments, single and double storey residences and extensions. A recent stand-out project involved the conversion of a single storey into a double storey and altering the style of the entire home to reflect the on-trend “Hamptons” style.
Judith begins her design process by interviewing her clients to get to know how they “live” and what their dream is, she can then provide a design that achieves the dream whilst remaining within the budget. She understands that finding your way through the forest of building regulations and standards, council requirements and finding the right builder are all daunting tasks. She strives to navigate her clients through the process with a logical and practical approach.
Along with their clients, Kyle Stacey and the team from Stack Design understand the value of good design and that every client values different elements of their home. Throughout the design process they will collaborate with you to create unique spaces that reflect your individual character and the daily activities within your home.
For each project undertaken, be it a new home or renovation, Kyle designs around an ethos of efficient spaces borne from responsive and practical design methodology and embraces sustainability and a sense of place at its core. He considers every aspect of your site and day to day interactions to create light filled, vibrant spaces full of character – that embrace their surroundings and reflect you as an individual.
Stack work with both simple and complex projects and tailor their process to each client’s needs as required. The design process begins as a collaboration with the client, from creating a brief and developing a bespoke design concept, through to the detailed design elements. They follow the whole process through by being with you until completion of the build on site. Their role is to simplify the process and guide you through to the whole journey, from concept to completion of your build.
From the initial brief and concept design through to the detailed delivery of your project, Stack are focused only on creating a space unique to you, to enjoy with friends and family.
